Christy's birthday celebration

We had our first birthday of the year in our birthday club. It was Christy's birthday on 4/15 and I was the hostess (we draw names to decide who hostesses for whom). We did a field trip to one of Christy's favorite diners, The Depot Diner (see November 8th post if you want; I can't figure out how to link to one of my old posts!). We had 9 of the 12 members in attendance and we were able to squeeze around a table in a cozy little alcove. The diner is small (probably seats less than 30 people) and they don't take reservations, so we lucked out with being able to be seated right away. The Depot Diner does not serve alcohol, but allows you to bring your own wine and does not charge a corkage fee (even better!). We ordered a cheeseburger and cut it into pieces for our appetizer...soooo good. I had the BLT again, but the next time I go there I might have to get the pot roast sandwich that Christy and Kathy got. I had a bite and it was reaaaally good. Dessert was freshly made donut holes served with a light mocha sauce. Oh yeah. I liked that. We had a wonderful time eating comfort food and visiting and just enjoying each other. It was a great way to celebrate Christy. Love you, Christy Ann Marie!
