Spring in the City

Matt's bachelor party and Sally's bachelorette party are both being held today. The bachelor party began with a Cubs game/roof top and after a few hour break, will continue with dinner and a trolley/bar crawl. The bachelorette party begins at 4pm with drinks at Sarah's (the MOH) apartment, followed by dinner and a trolley/bar crawl. Matt and Sally both included their parents in the fun,though we are the only ones from the older generation invited. Obviously, we won't stay for the whole event, but Jack and I decided to get a hotel room downtown for the night, just to be safe. That's where I am now, relaxing and enjoying some peaceful down time before the fun begins. I am going to meet Matt's mother, Mary, at the train station in a bit, then we will cab it up to Sarah's.
I just finished walking around the Loop. It is a beautiful spring day, 60 degrees and sunny. Such a gift to be here and celebrating a wonderful young couple !
