My sister, Sue, recently celebrated a milestone birthday. I won't say which one since I didn't ask her permission :). Our family got together (those that were able to) at Ditka's Restaurant in Oakbrook to celebrate her birthday. We were able to do a Sunday lunch since the Bears were playing an away game later in the day. Anyone who knows Susie knows that she is a loyal Bears fan and so it was appropriate to have her little soiree at Ditka's. Abbie (just turned 3), our sweet little grandniece, daughter of Arne and Beth, helped open the presents.
Sue and Kjell...Sue has season tickets and Kjell often gets to go with her. What an aunt!
Here's a picture of me and Nina (age 8 months). She and her sister Abbie were both so good. Sue would only agree to come to the birthday celebration if the girls were there.
I would post more pictures, but I am just learning how to do it and I keep goofing it up! In any case, happy birthday to Susie! We love you!

Oh, go ahead, baby sister--you can tell everyone I'm now in my 40's (plus 20!!!) I appreciated having my family and friends there to celebrate the occasion. I'm so blessed to be surrounded by such shining stars. You all make me proud every day! Great job with the blog! Love, Susie
