Back End of a Three Day Weekend :)

It has been a good weekend so far (I say "so far" so that I don't jinx anything... I learned that from my Friday friends). The weather has been gorgeous, pretty much perfect (70s and sunny) which has made everything a bit nicer this weekend. Friday night was a special dinner out with Sally. She treated Jack and me to dinner at The Reel Club and it was delightful.Mmmmm, seared ahi tuna and some halibut. Yum. We didn't have our usual waitress Cheryl, but instead had a guy named Alex who was awesome. Alex and Sally spoke Spanish to each other which was fun to hear (too bad Marmar wasn't there!). We came home and sat out on the patio for another hour or so. We may have had a glass of wine or two. So relaxing.

On Saturday, Jack and I took an awesome walk in the morning. The fall colors were beautiful. I took this picture while we were on our walk.  We had a relaxing Saturday, went to mass and had a quiet evening at home.

On Sunday, we went to Jenny and Jay's to watch the Bears game. It was the first time since the end of May that my side of the family was able to all get together. It was great! Marmar was looking good and the Bears won and Abbie and Nina were super entertaining. It was the perfect way to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon.
Marmar brought stickers and tattoos for the girls

Marmar, Wayne and Susie, chillaxin'

Nina and Pappy, also chillaxin'

Abbie and Nina always entertain us. It is amazing how they can keep so many adults captivated for so long! Here are a couple of cute videos of the girls.
I have been working on school work this morning and of course, updating my blog. I am looking forward to lunch with Cathy and Christy and then back to getting things done. It is so nice to have a day off and to be able to use it productively!
