We know how to have fun

It's Saturday night and we have been sitting in the basement watching the Illinois football game that we DVRd from earlier today. Wayne was on the field cheering with the alums for Homecoming. We saw him once and Jack took a picture off of the TV. Wow. What a great shot! You can almost tell it is Wayne.

This was a big step up for us. Earlier in the evening we had been watching an old Lawrence Welk show. Oh my goodness. No wonder I never liked that show when I used to watch it with my grandparents!

Sally is also down in Champaign for Homecoming. She has really been looking forward to this weekend - she misses those college days. Many of her friends were also going (not Matt, though, who has his next actuary test this week...good luck, Matt!)



Andrea and Nick

One of the highlights of the day was going to witness the marriage of Andrea and Nick. Andrea is a darling young speech path who works in the same building as I do. I was Andrea's mentor her first year and she is awesome.Andrea is dedicated and all about the kids. It is hard to believe that she is so young...just a year older than Wayne. I think of her as a peer. Her groom, Nick,  is a doll from all I have heard. He was adorable on the altar. Andrea is coming back to work on Tuesday. They are going to honeymoon in Hawaii over Christmas break.

And just so you know, I did make some progress on the closet. I am giving away three things so far. Never mind that there are still about 100 other things that should be tossed out. Baby steps!
