I ended my Spring Break with a quick trip to Vegas. Jack had a business trip scheduled there for yesterday, so we decided to take advantage of that. We flew out together late Thursday afternoon and got upgraded to first class which was delightful! We had an awesome first night there, just walking around the Strip. I had not been to Vegas since 1984 and my goodness, it has grown. The people watching was so fun and we hit a couple of casinos, then headed back to our hotel.
On Friday morning, I sat by the pool for a while, totally digging the 70 degree weather. Jack was doing a phone interview and when he was finished, we took a ride, stopped for lunch, had a little wine and then headed back. By the time we got back to the hotel I was not feeling well and was regretting having wine with lunch. Well, long story short, I ended up at an Urgent Care several hours later and was diagnosed with a bad sinus infection. It was a four hour odyssey, from 9:30pm til we got back to the hotel at 1:30 am, but it was worth it. I got an anti nausea shot and some great antibiotics and after sleeping most of Saturday, I felt good enough to fly home on Sunday morning! Jack was so supportive and took such great care of me and never complained. I am not sure I would have been as patient with him if the roles were reversed! I owe him:) I am just now feeling somewhat back to normal and am so thankful that is all that it was.
And that's my story of my Vegas weekend!
