It has been a relaxing weekend. On Friday, Jack and I had an early dinner at Gibson's, using a gift card that was a Christmas present from Sue. Lovely, delicious and relaxing.
Yesterday, Saturday, flew by. Jack, Sally and I had lunch together and then met with Denise at the stationery store to work on the invitations. The ladies at the shop are getting a huge kick out of Jack and his very definite opinions on paper, font, process. They don't get too many FOBs who are that involved in ordering the invitations. We are almost ready to place the order! I had a huge lump in my throat as Denise worked on the wording. Our baby is getting married!! Wow.
Jack and I went to 5 pm mass last night and had our throats blessed for St. Blaze saints day. I made chicken pot pie for dinner and we had another quiet night at home. All good.
Today the men of the wedding went got together for some suit shopping.They are going to buy suits rather than rent tuxes. They all met at Matt's, went suit shopping, then had lunch. While they were doing that, I cleaned and did some errands.
Jack and I are watching the Super Bowl, more the commercials and halftime show than football. Though that kickoff return for a touchdown just now certainly got our attention! Even Jack's :)!
