This summer went by incredibly fast. I cannot believe that I am back at work, though having worked most of the summer makes the transition quite a bit easier. It was actually nice to go to Institute Day today and not to have do anything but listen and participate (no reports or goals to write, no materials to prepare). Today I was asked "How was your summer?" at least 20 times. My response was "Pretty good", mostly because I feel badly that my mom had such a rough summer. Other than that, though, it was a very good summer that included:
new air conditioning
one shower
three weddings
Sally's graduation party
both my kids in town (and employed!)
21 speech language evaluations
private speech therapy with super wonderful kids
garage and attic purge (and now we can put a car in our garage!)
time with my sisters in support of Marmar
I cannot even complain about going back to work. I love my job and my coworkers. And I am so blessed to be able to get up in the morning and go to work and live my life. I hope I never take that for granted.
