Great Weekend

We had a wonderful dinner last night at Matt's. He and his parents, Mary and Bob, invited Jack, Sally and me for a fish fry at their house and it was phenomenal. We started out with pheasant fingers (think chicken fingers but made with pheasant...yum). Bob made an awesome game gumbo and then the main course was fried northern pike and walleye. Mary made wonderful desserts including lemon bars and homemade truffles.

The only problem with the evening is that I did not get enough to eat or drink. Haha. Not. We had a great time.

This morning was special, too. It was Marmar's first time back at church since her fall. It is hard to believe that it was exactly 2 months ago today that Mom fell and broke her hip and wrist. We are so proud of how hard Marmar has worked and her positive attitude. We were so happy that she was able to make it back to church this morning....and so were many of her friends at church. Marmar got a big welcome back.

Tonight I am enjoying the Emmys with Jack and Sally. It has been one of the most entertaining awards shows ever. Tomorrow is my first day with my Phono students, those darling preschoolers. I can't believe that I am beginning my 17th year of this gig. How blessed am I.
