I should be working on one of my last three reports of the summer (two due Tuesday and one on Wednesday), but I am not. I am warming up to the idea of working by writing a quick post. On Friday night, we went to Chuck and Teri's for dinner. All of the kids were invited too, but not everyone could make it. Wayne was in Ohio for a wedding and Grace and Caylen also had previous commitments. Chas, Keegan, and Brittany and her BF Ryan were there and Sally and Matt, too. I was glad Sally felt up to it after her oral surgery the day before. We had Teri's world famous paella and Ryan made a delicious ice cream pie for dessert. Great night.
Yesterday we helped celebrate Abbie's 4th birthday (again, for those who don't know, Abbie and Nina are the daughters of my nephew, Arne and his wife, Beth). Abbie loved the pinata (also known in some circles as a "pano") that Grammy and Pappy (Jenny and Jay) brought. First she had to love on it awhile and then it was all business. Arne helped Nina (age 18 mos) take a whack at it, too.
Abbie really loves to "read" cards, as evidenced by a video previously seen on this blog :) and so she loved opening her cards and presents. Here's another darling video of Abbie:

I could watch this all day long! Too cute for words. I love how she catches a glimpse of her reflection in the patio door window at the :18 second point. Truly a Leo!!!
