We have air conditioning!

I am happy to announce the arrival of our new air conditioner! And our brand new digital thermostat. Life is good :)

Ok, so that was my first mobile post FROM MY CELL PHONE with pictures! I finally figured it out and I am not sure how, but I am so excited about that. Now I can post from anywhere, anytime...watch out!

And just to explain this post, our AC went out on Tuesday evening. It was perfect timing as Jack was out of town on business from Tues through Fri and we all know how Jack feels about hot weather. Anyway, Heat Engineering, our wonderful heat and cooling company, came out first thing Wednesday morning. Matt, the service guy, tried his best but there was no saving our outside thingamagig...capacitor, condensor, etc, it was shot after 30 years. Later on Lyle came out and told me some of our options. We did what we had to do to get things cooled down. Heck, it is only $$$ and thank God I am doing summer evals (have I mentioned that already? oh yeah, twice) Mike came out at 7:30 on Friday morning to install our new unit and thermostat and we were up and cooling by 9:30. Great service by Heat Engineering...we have used them ever since we moved into house 23 years ago and they do an outstanding job. By the time Jack arrived home Friday afternoon, our house was back to being about the same temperature as Walgreen's. I may be exaggerating a bit, but not much. Notice in the picture of me with the new thermostat, I am wearing my HMS sweatshirt. I'll say it again, life is good.
