Pictures

I love to take pictures.  I love to take pictures because I love to look at pictures. A photograph solidifies memories for me. I can look at a picture that I took ten years ago and it brings back all sorts of sensory memories...smells, sounds, feelings.
Last night, Sally and Matt, who are still on their honeymoon in Spain (NOTE: Sally is almost all better and was really only down and out for a day of their honeymoon), sent us a link to the wedding pictures. It was around 10 pm and I clicked on the link and couldn't stop looking until I had seen all 583 of them. About 2 1/2 hours later! They are amazing. Our photographer did an incredible job. He brought a second shooter (camera, not gun) and she was great as well. I can't wait til I can share the pictures! Matt and Sally will get a CD with all of the images within a week or so and they will have the rights to them. Such a good thing.
These wedding pictures will be an important part of our lives. They will help us remember a day that we could never forget, but we will remember even more vividly because of the way our photographers captured expressions, emotions, body language, glances.
The only thing I regret was that I did not have my camera with me from the time we finished getting ready til about half way through the reception when the photogs left. I missed getting group pictures of our families, some folks are not in any shots and I did not even get a picture of Jack and me alone. That was not the fault of our photographers They were very clear that they were happy to take any shots that we requested, but I just never got around to doing that. I was feeling kinda sad about that today, but then realized that often  group shots are pretty "mugshot-ish". I can grab family photos anytime and will make a point next time we are all together. July 6 was Matt and Sally's wedding day and it is their wedding album and it includes some of the most beautiful pictures ever taken.
