the Fourth of July

This Fourth of July is exactly two days before July 6. Ok, I know it is every year, but this year it means today is the day before the day before...or the wedding is the day after tomorrow.
This meant a lower key celebration as we all get in the wedding mode.
Last night, July 3rd (for those of you are not good at math), was the 31st anniversary of my first date with Jack. I can remember that night as if it happened yesterday. It makes me smile every time I think about it. We spent the evening with Matt, Sally and Matt's family at Bob and Mary's house. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner and great company.
Today, our celebration consisted of the parade. That was about it for us. Matt and Sally had things they needed to get done for the wedding and Wayne and Julie had plans for most of the day and we had lots to do as well.
I didn't  mind.
After all, we have a wedding in less than 48 hours.
That is so unbelievable!!!!!
